English Folk Song Suite

At the Midwest Clinic I could have spent hours and tons of money looking though the hundreds of scores they had available. I decided to pick up English Folk Song Suite: by Ralph Vaughn Williams. I personally like the folk song tunes and style of the piece, having put it together in a few rehearsals with the University of South Carolina Wind Ensemble. I will start studying the peice to hopefully do it with a high school band someday but here is the preliminary information:

1. Title: English Folk Song Suite

2. Composer: Ralph Vaughan Williams

3. Publisher: Boosey and Hawkes

4. Distributor: Hal Leonard

5. Copyright: 1924

Composers Notes: The tune My Bonny Boy is taken from English Country Songs by kind permission of Miss L.E. Broadwood, J.A. Fuller-Maitland, Esq., and The Leadenhall Press. The tunes of Folk Songs from Somerset are introduced by kind permession of Cecil Sharp, Esq.
